Founded in 2008 by Bernadette Meisel, Viadukt is an open screen printing studio in Vienna that empowers artists to realize their projects, fosters community, and cultivates sustainable creative opportunities. Over the years, Viadukt has established itself as a collaborative hub for contemporary artists, designers, and creatives, working closely with institutions, galleries, agencies, and collectors dedicated to high-quality screen printing.
Located in Vienna’s 6th district, the studio provides fully equipped facilities, state-of-the-art tools, and dedicated technical support, creating an environment that encourages artistic exploration and supports artists throughout their entire creative process.
In 2020, Bernadette launched the exhibition series “At The Printing Table” (https://attheprintingtable.com), alongside a residency program for women artists over 40. Together with ongoing workshops, artist residencies, and artwork sales, these initiatives promote cultural exchange, revitalize the significance of analog printing techniques, and highlight their artistic potential within the contemporary art community.
As an independent organization, Viadukt continues to make contemporary printmaking accessible, engaging, and deeply relevant—both locally and internationally.
