The Printmaking Department at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) is a national leader in print media education, centered in a state-of-the-art 20,000-square-foot facility in Baltimore. Our curriculum bridges the gap between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary innovation, offering deep exploration in intaglio, lithography, relief, and screenprinting. Beyond the classroom, MICA is home to the renowned Dolphin Press & Print and the Globe Collection and Press, where students collaborate with visiting artists and engage with a world-class archive of historic wood type and show cards. Driven by research and experimental practice, MICA Printmaking empowers a new generation of artists to redefine the multiple in a diverse and changing world.
