The Fine Arts Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology is a thriving fine arts program that provides students with a rich foundation in all aspects of the visual arts. We are proud that FIT is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, making a fine arts education achievable to a highly diverse student body. Printmaking has been part of our program since its inception.
Students at FIT engage in a rigorous exploration of printmaking—from the precision of intaglio and lithography to the bold graphics of screenprinting and woodcut. By emphasizing both the mastery of the press and the development of a unique contemporary voice, FIT prepares the next generation of artists to thrive within the professional print ecosystem. We are thrilled to showcase the exceptional work of our emerging printmakers at this year’s fair.
