Powerhouse Arts Printshop is a premier collaborative studio and fabrication hub located in the heart of Gowanus, Brooklyn. With over 125 years of combined expertise, our team of master printers works side-by-side with artists to translate complex visions into tangible editions. From intimate 1:1 collaborations to our PHA Publishing program, we are dedicated to sustaining the legacy of printmaking through innovation, mentorship, and a commitment to shared practice.
Led by Printshop Director Luther Davis, our team facilitates more than 300 projects annually, fostering an environment where all artistic "boats rise together." Our expertise is in fine art screenprinting, digital hybrid processes, and UV printing, plus we collaborate frequently with MGC Community Print Studio accessing its intaglio, relief, and lithography presses. As a non-profit fabrication center, we bridge the gap between industrial-scale production and local artist support.
Our shop produces editions and original work with over 100 artists each year. Recent collaborators include: Amy Sherald, Glenn Ligon, Mickalene Thomas, Mark Bradford, Lorna Simpson, Jenny Holzer, Jean Shin, and Ivan Forde (inaugural PHA Publishing Artist).
Visit us during the fair to explore how we are empowering the next generation of printmakers to push the boundaries of the handmade.
