VanDeb Editions is a premier fine art print publisher founded in 1999 by Marjorie Van Dyke and Deborah Freedman. Their partnership began in 1998 at the legendary Robert Blackburnβs Printmaking Workshop, sparked by a shared passion for the technical depth of etching and the spontaneity of monotype. For over 26 years, VanDeb has operated as a collaborative laboratory in Long Island City, dedicated to producing works of the highest aesthetic and technical caliber. To date, the press has collaborated with over 60 artists, bridging the gap between traditional printmaking and contemporary practice.
As Master Printer, Marjorie Van Dyke serves as a technical conduit, translating each artistβs unique vision into the printed medium through an inventive and supportive process. The studio specializes in working with artists whose primary practices lie in painting, sculpture, or photographyβmany of whom have not engaged with printmaking since their early training. Managed by Deborah Freedman, who oversees curation, client cultivation, and the press's annual Womenβs History exhibition, VanDeb Editions remains a vital force in the print community. By fostering a space where experimentation meets precision, they continue to produce sophisticated editions that reflect the diverse material and conceptual concerns of modern art.
