Karen Kuncβs prints and artists books stem from her contemplation of the forces of the natural world and ephemeral encounters. Her unique color-reduction-woodcut printing records destruction and creation in an evolutionary process.

She has taught workshops internationally including in Egypt,Italy, Finland, Poland, Japan, France, Mexico, Iceland, Bangladesh, and Spain.

Karen is the Willa Cather Professor Emerita at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she taught printmaking, book arts, and papermaking. She is the owner/director of Constellation Studios, a creative work-site for print, paper, and book arts, inviting artists for residencies, workshops, print publishing and project collaborations, and features exhibitions and community activities to further creativity and culture.
