Kentler International Drawing Space is thrilled to highlight contemporary mokuhanga prints from the Kentler Flatfiles at the 2026 Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair. Mokuhanga is the Japanese water-based woodcut technique originally used to create ukiyo-e prints in the 17th century. It is currently experiencing a worldwide revival as it allows for the production of refined prints in a small space using nontoxic materials. Since 2012, Kentler has actively promoted the medium through exhibitions, events, and our Flatfiles, which now house over 320 mokuhanga prints by more than 35 local, national, and international artists.
Β
THE KENTLER FLATFILES is a living archive of more than 3,000 artworks by 330 artists.
