In the Printmaking area at the University of Utah, students are introduced to a range of possibilities and directions and are encouraged to think of the medium as a never-expanding mechanism for translating ideas.
The studio has resources for intaglio, screenprint, lithography, relief and digital/photographic processes. No limits are set as to what may or may not be a viable approach to printmaking; emphasis is placed on the research and development of ideas, realized with the techniques and materials appropriate to a particular project.
Students exhibiting include Tara Aguirre, Mars Apa, Isabella Aycock, Lisa Chin, Egan Cieslewicz, Preston Compton, Heather Hernandez, Gabi Lafalam, Sally Logue, Lexi Metcalf, Grace Norton, Austin Overmoe, Gracie Pollick, Madison Purin, Isabella Sabala, Andrew Smith, Sammy Soffe, and Hui Zheng.
Printmaking faculty includes Justin Diggle, Holly Rios, and Aloe Corry.
