Surefire Print Collective is an artist cooperative established in Baltimore, Maryland, dedicated to the creation, promotion, and distribution of fine art printmaking. Operating on the belief that printmaking serves as a vital platform for diverse voices and stories, the collective focuses on the medium's unique suitability for the needs of emerging artists. A defining feature of the group is that all participants are "artist-printmakers," ensuring the artistβs hand is involved in every step of the process. By sharing resources, leading skill-shares, and hosting collaborative events, Surefire facilitates a communal ecosystem that allows artists to achieve more together than they could individually.
Justin Remo: An artist-printmaker within the collective, Justin focuses on the manual production of his own editions to maintain the integrity of the artist's hand throughout the process.
Philippe Ricard: As a member of the Baltimore-based cooperative, Philippe contributes to the collectiveβs mission of promoting fine art printmaking through shared resources and collaborative exhibitions.
Lindsay Hurst: Lindsay is an artist-printmaker who utilizes the collectiveβs platform to facilitate the distribution of fine art and participate in the evolving print ecosystem.
