We will present a solo booth with Ana Raylander Martis dos Anjos, a Brazilian artist who was just presented at 36º São Paulo Biennial and also on a group show at Sculpture Center curated by Jovanna Venegas in New York City.
About Ana Raylander Martis dos Anjos 1995, 'Somewhere far beyond the west and the south itself, in the south of the south' Lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil Ana Raylander Mártis dos Anjos develops long-term projects with a focus on research. She seeks to establish a dialog between historical events and her biography, often recurring on the knowledge of education and writing. Her work is presented as text, document, installation, video, performance, sculpture, photography and objects. She is particularly interested in her Afro-Brazilian origins, the modern-colonial project and institutional critique.
YHP is a São Paulo-based gallery working with a young generation of artists, focused on experimental language across different media, with a strong inclination towards time-based and performative works. With a program that embraces both the weight of tradition and the tensions of the present, the gallery engages with art as a dynamic phenomenon — rooted, restless, and entirely its own creature.
