Marisa Newman Projects centers on creating exhibitions and platforms that support artists in developing and expanding their practices. Through curatorial initiatives and close collaboration, the organization helps shape projects from concept to presentationβfostering thoughtful dialogue, experimentation, and meaningful engagement with audiences. Its focus is on building opportunities that allow artists to explore new ideas while connecting their work to institutions, collectors, and the broader public.
Adler Guerrier explores nature through a distinct artistic lens, using the natural world to probe themes of identity, memory, and abstraction. He approaches nature as both permanent and ephemeral, incorporating elements such as flowers into mixed-media works that reflect the fluidity of cultural identity and the forces shaping our environments. Working across photography, drawing, and collage, Guerrier considers presence, absence, and displacementβpositioning nature as both subject and metaphor within his practice.
For The Conductor fair, Guerrier conceived a site-specific booth that extended these concerns into the spatial realm. Transforming the booth into an immersive environment, he integrated photographic and collaged floral motifs with architectural interventions that responded to the fairβs structure and circulation. The installation functioned as both exhibition and environmentβforegrounding the tension between visibility and concealment, and inviting viewers to move through a space shaped by layered histories, fragmented landscapes, and shifting perceptions of place.
