Art in Brackets™ Curatorial Guided Walk-through
Apr 30, 2026
46 Walker Street, Tribeca, NY

Join Art in Brackets™ – Art Consultancy and Advisory for a guided walk-through of an exhibition exploring the transatlantic artistic exchange between Africa and Brazil. The presentation foregrounds Afro-diasporic visual languages across photography, painting, sculpture, textiles, and design. By placing contemporary art alongside self-taught practices and material culture, Art in Brackets™ challenges conventional distinctions between fine art, craft, and design, emphasizing shared histories, techniques, and relational aesthetic strategies.
Rarely seen by American audiences are historical works by Madalena Santos Reinbolt (1919–1977); Mestre Didi (1917-2013) and Aurelino dos Santos (1942–2026) presented alongside recent works by Maxwell Alexandre, Lidia Lisbôa and Roney George, among others.
Refreshments will be served.
