With Kite (Oglála Lakȟóta), Cannupa Hanska Luger, and Rachel Martin, moderated by Candice Hopkins, this panel brings together Indigenous curators, artists, and collectors to discuss best practices for stewarding Indigenous art as collectors and collecting institutions. Centering Indigenous-led methodologies, the conversation will touch on research, relationship building, contracts, loaning and displaying Indigenous art.

Grounded in shared cultural histories and local networks, La Vaughn Belle, Danny Báez, Christopher Cozier, and Daniela Fifi come together with moderator Tiana Webb-Evans to explore how community-led initiatives create space for new voices, material practices, and forms of artistic freedom in the Caribbean. Artists and cultural leaders across the diaspora are building platforms that foster risk, experimentation, and mutual support for emerging generations.

Within this space, artist Bishwajit Goswami welcomes you through a participatory performance, inviting you to join him in transforming the installation into a living baithak-khana—a space of informal gathering rooted in Bengal’s cultural memory.
