At the heart of Baithak lies a circular Shitalpati, extending an invitation to sit, pause, and be present with others.

Within this space, artist Bishwajit Goswami welcomes you through a participatory performance, inviting you to join him in transforming the installation into a living baithak-khana—a space of informal gathering rooted in Bengal’s cultural memory.

You are invited to sit together, not as an audience, but as companions in a shared moment. The experience unfolds as a slow, meditative journey through recitations of Rabindranath Tagore’s poetry, drawing strangers into a temporary circle of listening and reflection.
