Description

This one day workshop will offer students at all skill levels an opportunity to practice drawing from a live model in an intimate, small-group setting. A range of materials in “dry” mediums will be provided so that students can explore drawing the figure in challenging ways. The instructor will provide ongoing guidance, support, and feedback – both for the group and for individuals – throughout the session. Class size is limited to 12 participants.

The model may be nude or clothed. Students will have the chance to explore a range of approaches to interpreting the figure and will learn fundamentals of proportion, line, and form through poses that increase in duration. Building understanding from each drawing, students will work towards completing a longer, more fully-realized figurative drawing.

Please note that there are three scheduled Figure Drawing sessions this season and students interested in participating in all will need to register for each session separately.
