Description
Traditional techniques of etching, drypoint, aquatint, and use of hard and soft grounds are taught. Contemporary methods such as non-toxic photo-etching, viscosity printing, and Xerox-transfer are also demonstrated in this class. Students may undertake in-depth plate work that allows for extensive work on a single plate, multicolored printing, and various experimental techniques.
In addition to in class time, 30 hours of open studio time are included (3 hours per week) outside of class for non-members; additional hours may be purchased as needed.To arrange your out of class studio time please email mgc@powerhousearts.org. Join as a member for unlimited open studio time, and a 25% discount toward classes.
