As part of our Open House New York and Gowanus Open Studios programming, the 2026 Artist Subsidy recipients Emerita Baik and Rose Malenfant come together with Powerhouse Arts fabricators DW Zinsser and Lisa D. Archigian to share more about their creative practices and experiences working with PHA’s Printshop and the MGC Community Print Studio.

Featuring Trey Abdella, Camille Henrot, Tishan Hsu, Arthur Jafa, Josh Kline, Precious Okoyomon, and Howardena Pindell, this evening brings together films from Art21’s Extended Play and New York Close Up series. Showcasing artists at all stages of their careers—several of whom have made work at Powerhouse—the program highlights the vast ecosystems of contemporary art production. Their practices range from traditional media like painting and sculpture to less conventional forms like gardenscapes or the repurposing of domestic materials into clothing and installation.
